Beale is a excellent ball handler weaving her way in and out of her opponents. She show off her shot from behind the areas well displaying her list of threats. She even crashes the boards grabbing rebounds, and takes it the other direction. She had a nice spin move to a reverse layup showing her versatility with the ball, and there were multiple occasions that she seemed to put her defended on skates. She was patient when letting plays develop, and she knew when to turn on the speed and blow by her opponents. On defense, she knows how to jump into passing lanes to push the ball the other direction. She finished with 22 points in a close game against Team Carolina including hitting 4 three pointers.

Laney is a steadfast leader from the point. She has a calm under pressure that helps her team keep the game from speeding up beyond their level. Beale is an all around good shooter, and has an explosive first step that allows her to catch defenders off guard to penetrate to create shots for her or sickouts for teammates on the help. She also has great vision of the entire court, as evidenced by many sensational assists we see her make on a regular basis.

Beale is a major impact player controlling the tempo of the game with her complete skill set. As a true point guard, she does a great job handling pressure and applying it, shifting roles understanding when to distribute and when to get into attack mode. She is embraces finishing through contact and shoots confidently knocking down the long ball and mid range jumpers. Defensively, she leads her team communicating and staying active and alert at all times.
