2024 5'10 Makayla Thompson is a midsized combo wing that often plays in the 4.  Her natural strength allows her to relocate taller post players and get shots off near the rim after she initiates contact.   Thompson is expanding her game to play on the wing, adding multiple slashing moves and a decent corner jumper.  Makayla can be a real asset defending taller posts, because her strength and stature allows her to move most post players away from inside scoring positions.

5'10" combo wing/post Makayla Thompson continues to develop into a strong contributing scorer on the offensive end with multiple power moves in the paint, as well as a consistent shot from 15-20 ft.  Makayla's basketball IQ is high as she uses a lot of different techniques to create for her teammates, including picks, drive and kick techniques, and feeding low post from the high post locations.  Thompson is a young hooper worth watching.
