2023 5'6" Maddy Mims is a quick and shifty PG with an arsenal of moves to get through traffic. She is developing awareness of how to use her skill to set up her teammates on dribble drive situations, and finding ways to force defenders to get deeper in the paint to stop her leaving their man open for kick outs. Defensively Maddy's speed is virtually unmatched, so she is very helpful in applying ball pressure without concern that help is necessary.

A true floor general, Mims leads her team vocally and physically, while playing with high energy and confidence each possession. Her quickness and change of pace makes her hard to guard and forces a double team, allowing her to create for her teammates. She is a dual threat with the ability to distribute and finish around the rim. Mims keeps defense honest and spaces the floor by knocking down open looks. She has all the tools to be a phenomenal point guard.

2023 5'6" Mims demonstrates all the leadership skills at the PG position coaches look for. She communicates with the coach and her teammates clearly, while protecting the ball under pressure. Her quickness always keeps defenders off balance and often out of position to stop her from attacking the rim. Maddy also finds open players on the dribble attack in the half court set. Defensively, she matches up with most guards. Her size may limit her ability to defend long shooters on the perimeter.
