2023 CG Aniyah Scales is a player that gets into the paint does a good job finishing around the basket has a lot of tools in our tool belt definitely a kid to keep eyes on.

2023 5'8" Aniyah Scales is a "get a bucket" kind of player. Scales has a lot of finesse moves that allow her to find a way thru traffic to get to the bucket with a variety of finishing touches. Although she appears to be right hand dominant, she has good misdirection and change of tempo that allows her to get by her primary defender. Aniyah is also good for a few assists each game as she pulls a lot of help and can find the open player off the bounce. If defense plays off, she can hit the 3 too, making her a solid offensive threat. Defensively she is quick on the ball, and can defend her position well.

5'8" CG Aniya Scales is a solid contributor on offense both from her ability to penetrate, as well as her ability to shoot the long ball. Aniyah uses tempo change really well to get defenders of balance. Defensively, we have seen her really lock down PGs multiple times, but not sure how she would match up against longer shooters or powerful forwards. If you looking for a smaller combo guard that can score many different ways, Scales is that player.
